Dear Parents and Caregivers,
My name is Miss Chanda and I am your child’s new classroom teacher. I thought I would introduce myself so you can get to know me a little and to make sure you have my contact details.
I am passionate about education and thoroughly enjoy teaching. This is my third year teaching, but my first time having my own class. Although, this is my first class, I have had experiences in a variety of teaching roles including; supply teaching (foundation – Year 6), Literacy Intervention teacher, PPA teacher (Nursery – Year 6) and PE teacher. I believe these experiences have allowed me to learn and grow from working with multiple schools and collaborating with outstanding teaching staff. Therefore, these invaluable experiences have shaped my teaching pedagogies and strategies and has made me a more competent and accomplished teacher.
My teaching philosophy is ‘Every child can achieve success’ and I will strive to achieve this by holding high expectations of my students, both academically and personally. As you might be aware, Year 2 is a very important year for the students as they will be sitting their SATS test and I hope with your unwavering support we can break down barriers to achieve high levels of attainment.
I am from Laotian descendants, born in New Zealand then I moved to live in Australia when I was fourteen years old before moving to London at the beginning of this year. My interests include photography, reading, travelling and exploring.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Unless the matter is urgent the best form of contact is via email at firstname.lastname@example.org I believe it is imperative to keep open lines of communications between school and home to ensure your child is receiving what he or she requires to realise their full potential.
I look forward to working with you and your child as we embark on this exhilarating, sometimes challenging but highly rewarding journey together.
