Last day of school year 2016
On what was a very emotional day for everyone at St Stephen’s, we had much to celebrate at the end of year assembly this morning.
Both the boys’ and girls’ football teams received their much longed for winners and runners up trophies and medals from the recent tournament held at Westminster Academy.
Six children were presented with certificates for 100% attendance over the year.
Year 5 pupils collected certificates for completing the Maths masterclass sessions they had been attending at Hallfield Primary School for the last six weeks.
Winners of the Nanny Pat cup were chosen by members of staff and presented with the original trophy and a replica which was their own to keep.
We said goodbye to Mr Bucknall, Miss Crowley, Miss Paskins and Mrs Barclay, who are all moving on to pastures new, along with Roxana and Beata, who are due to give birth to baby girls later in the summer.
Finally year 6 treated us to one last rendition of We Go Together from their performance of Grease and collected their leaving gifts of dictionaries.
Everyone at St Stephen’s would like to wish year 6 the very best of luck at their new schools, they will be sorely missed and we look forward to seeing them again, when hopefully they will pay us a visit in September.
Happy summer holidays to everyone!
