From 22nd – 30th June we are taking part in Food Explorers Week.
Food Explorers use the wealth of food and gardening experience available locally to educate and motivate children to make healthier food choices. They aim to improve long term eating habits and food education by exposing children to a wide range of fun, practical skills and experiences.
By celebrating cooking and recipes from many different cultures and backgrounds the Food Explorers program encourages healthy, home-cooked options over fast, processed foods. It also fosters and strengthens community ties with schools and families.
We have exciting activities lined up for the week and can’t wait to get started on our 5 Food Explorers Challenges!
