On Tuesday the Year 2 children went on a trip to the Wallace Collection. The children had a chance to explore the collection, looking at the different artefacts like expensive porcelain and ornate fixtures. Year 2 looked at some different paintings and portraits from the past. The children then created their own rainbow drawings! They even had a chance to look at some of the clothes worn at the time, like lace collars and floral patterns. The highlight of the trip would have to be when we talked about the kind of armour that was worn in battle. They looked at helmets and got to try on a medieval gauntlet! The children had a great time learning and creating.
